When ordering data from ListEdTech, you may stumble upon terminology with which you are unfamiliar. Here are definitions and explanations on some of the terms we use in our dataset.

SECONDARY SYSTEM TERMINOLOGY

E – Exploring

This product is part of a short list of products that have been selected as a possible replacement to an existing product.

P – Pilot 

This product is being tested by a small group within the institution to see if it meets expectations.

U – Upgrade 

This product is either a new version of an existing product or a reselected product following a subsequent RFP for this product category. In either case, this product is currently being used at the institution.

Y – Yes 

This product is used as a secondary system for the main institution or a primary system for a Faculty, a Department or any Research Center, laboratory, academic unit associated with the main institution.
